Hello! I am Nicole (Utecht) Algra, Owner of and Professional Photographer for Nicole Utecht Photography.

I am a fine art photographer who specializes in Family and High School Senior portraits and Weddings. I am based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and am always happy to travel anywhere in the state or country for sessions and weddings.

This year, I am celebrating my 18th year in business. Building relationships with my families and couples is something that I value deeply. I cherish all of my wonderful couples and families, most of whom have been with me for almost two decades now. I am so grateful that we share the same importance for capturing special moments and memories that will only happen once, but will last for generations, through photography.

Born an artist, who loves to draw and paint, I began photographing with my film camera at a young age and took my first photo class in high school. My passion for photography and the Fine Arts lead me to earn two photography degrees. I stayed close to home for my BFA in Photography from UW-Oshkosh. Then, my desire to further my photographic education, along with my adoration for the beach and southern charm, lead me to Savannah, Georgia, where I earned my MFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

I am happily married to my handsome husband, Jason, who also happens to be an Ironman triathlete. We enjoy an athletic and adventuresome life together. When available, Jason may assist me with some of my shoots and weddings. He always adds that extra spark of personality, energy and charisma wherever he goes.

When I am not photographing or sitting at my computer editing, you can often find me at the Y working out, practicing yoga, or swimming (I was a competitive swimmer for 15 years). I also enjoy taking a bike ride to watch the sunset in the summer, cuddling with our sweet black cat, and cooking comfort food.

Making time to travel is a necessity for me and I have enjoyed traveling to quite a few states and countries to photograph my families and couples. I feel that travel makes me a better person and artist and inspires my creative path. Up next, I want to explore more of our National Parks.

I am looking forward meeting you and working together to create a beautiful collection of images. Talk to you soon!
